Find where the condenser actually is
Underneath at the front on most of these cabinets, at the back on others, behind a kickplate that has never been off. Where it is decides how the visit goes.

Clean it properly rather than blow it around
Brush and vacuum, including the fan and the shroud. Dust moved from the coil to the floor of the cabinet has been moved, not removed.

Check the condenser fan
It runs with the compressor; a seized or noisy one undoes the cleaning within weeks.

Give the cabinet room
Clearance at the back and above, and nothing stored on top of a machine that vents upward. A cabinet in a tight alcove will keep doing this.

How dirty does it get in a year here?
Enough to matter. A ground-floor kitchen with a pet and open windows can build a visible mat in twelve months; a sealed condominium on a high floor takes two or three years to reach the same state. That difference is the whole schedule.
Can I do this myself with a vacuum?
The front of the coil, yes, and it is worth doing. What a vacuum will not reach is the fan blade and the back face of the coil, and on a cabinet that has never been cleaned those hold most of what is insulating it.
