What to do about it
- Read the number. If it is between 1 and 24 it is hours of delay, not a code.
- Press cancel once to clear the delay. Pressing it again cancels the selected cycle and starts a drain routine.
- A third press stops the drain routine and switches the machine off, which is the way out if you have pressed it twice already.
- If the countdown returns on its own, the panel is registering a press nobody made, and that is a control repair.
