Frigidaire washer leak repair
Water on the laundry-room floor, and the first job is finding where it comes from rather than which part to fit. Front of the machine points at the door seal or the glass; the back points at hoses and the inlet; water only during drain points at the pump, the clamp or a standpipe that is backing up. In a condominium a shared stack is a real possibility and gets ruled out before the machine is blamed.

How this visit actually goes
The same order every time, so nothing is opened and nothing is charged before you have seen the figure and said yes.
-
01
Dry everything and run a controlled cycle
With paper under the machine, so the first drop is seen where it lands.
-
02
Check the door seal fold
On a front-loader in Miami this is where leaks and smells both begin, and both are the same wet fold.
-
03
Inspect hoses, clamps and the inlet body
Including the age of the fill hoses, which are the ones that flood a building when they go.
-
04
Watch the drain
A standpipe that surcharges puts water on the floor with the machine working correctly.
-
05
Confirm with a full cycle
Because a leak on spin only is invisible during a wash.

The current catalog carries two top-load washers and three laundry centers, and that thinness is worth saying out loud: Frigidaire's laundry line today is a fraction of its kitchen line. What we open in South Florida is mostly older — front-loaders from the years the badge sold them in volume, top-loaders in condominium closets, and stacked laundry centers in apartments where nothing else fits. The failures are the ones that come with age and with this climate: bearings, seals that never dry, pumps that meet a lint load nobody clears, and drains that back up in a shared stack.
- Nine current laundry machines in the whole catalog — two of them washers
- Most of what we service is older, and stacked centers are normal in condominiums
- Bearings, door seals, pumps and shared drains do the failing here

About Frigidaire washer leak repair
Finding it is the job; the part is usually small
Water on a laundry-room floor has half a dozen possible origins and they are not equally likely — the fill hoses at the wall, the door seal on a front-loader, the pump trap somebody opened and did not close, the drain hose where it enters the standpipe. In a condominium laundry closet the machine is boxed in on three sides, so the water appears at the threshold whatever its source, and the visit is mostly about running the machine through a cycle and watching which stage produces it.

Questions about Frigidaire washer leak repair
How do I tell a supply leak from a drain leak while I wait?
Look at when it appears. Water present with the machine off and idle is the supply side, water only at the end of a cycle is the drain, and water during the wash itself is the door seal or the tub.
The rubber seal on the front is black and moldy. Is that where the leak is?
It can be, and either way it is worth dealing with. Mold on a front-loader gasket holds the fold open so the seal no longer meets the glass evenly, which is how a hygiene problem turns into a leak.
